What is Paintless Dent Repair?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is a technique for removing minor dents, dings, and creases. It’s done with specialized tools used from behind the panel, and often from the front as well.

What are the benefits of Paintless Dent Repair?
Time and cost savings are the primary benefits. A typical dent larger than a quarter from a body shop is usually $350-$500 to fix. With PDR, dents can be fixed for $125-$200.

Second, the quality of the repair is superior to body work. Because the panel is not sanded, filled with bondo, primed, or painted, there are no issues associated with traditional refinishing such as bondo and primer shrinking, paint mismatches, and peeling paint.

Will my paint be damaged?
No. Modern paint is flexible and durable enough for our work. Our methods will not damage your paint.

Will my dents be 100% gone?
Most minor dents come out completely. Deep, sharp dents usually come out 80-90%. Before we begin work, we’ll clearly explain what % improvement to expect.

Will my dents return?
No. PDR is permanent. Traditional methods of dent repair (sand, fill, repaint), however, often develop issues as filler and primer shrinking that occur months after the work is completed.

Can any dent be fixed?
Not all dents can be fixed. We must consider depth and location. Dents that are impossible to access from behind or dents that are so deep that the paint has cracked cannot be repaired with PDR. Examples of dents causing access problems are quarter panel opening lips, the forward areas of braced hoods, or the very outer edges of some panels. Most dents are the size of a golf ball under….95% of these can be removed completely. Call for your specific application.

To own a Mercedes-Benz is to take pride in its timeless design and effortless style. But regardless of the care you take in maintaining the appearance of your vehicle, sometimes damage can´t be avoided. Whether it’s a rock chip, tree sap, or seasonal hazards like road grime or salt attacking your bumpers, Our Mercedes-Benz Certified Collision Center has the solution.

While your aesthetic enjoyment is the only reason you need, there may be others:

Lease Return Repair
Damages to the bumpers are not always considered wear and tear. Some banks consider a small scratch or break on the paint and might require a complete re-spray or full replacement of parts. Get the damaged section repaired professionally.

Resale Value
Nothing takes a beating like your bumpers and that can certainly make an impression to any potential buyer. A potential buyer might discount or think twice about buying your vehicle due to small scratch. A small investment on the repair could speed up the sale. Most damage can be repaired without having to re-spray the whole bumper. Localizing and limiting the repair to just the damaged section can keep the paint almost all original and maintain the value of your vehicle.

Q: Will my insurance company work with Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington’s Collision Center?

A: Our Collision Center has great relationships with all national insurers and we stay in contact with your insurance company throughout the repair process. We are a preferred vendor for most insurance companies, which means we meet your insurer’s standards for service, quality, and price.

Q: Do you provide towing service?

A: Towing service is available 24/7 with our Fort Washington Collision Center. And because we’re conveniently located off I276, we can get to the site of your accident faster than most repair shops, so you won’t be left waiting.

Q: Can you help me get a rental car?

A: Yes, we can. We know a collision can be distressing and unsettling. Let us take care of getting you a rental so you can get back to your life.

Q: What are after-market parts?

A: While most independent body shops look for the lowest price part they can find, we believe after-market parts should only be used when an insurance company policy stipulates that they (the insurance Co.) will only cover that part. We are experts in negotiating with insurance companies to push them to cover OEM parts.

Q: What are remanufactured parts?

A: Remanufactured parts are used parts taken from other vehicles and repaired. They can be a lower cost alternative than repairing a damaged part on your vehicle or purchasing a new OEM part. We carefully consider when we will use these parts.

1. Check to see if you or any passengers with you were injured in the automobile accident.
Do not hesitate to call “911” for medical help if anyone needs medical attention. If anyone is unconscious, it is best not to move them unless absolutely necessary as moving them could make their injuries worse. If you must move injured people, make sure to keep their head and neck supported the entire time.

2. Safely get out of the way of traffic.
If your car does not work, turn on your warning lights or open your hood to warn other drivers in the area. Your safety is most important.

3. Call the police if the auto accident involves damage, injury or death.
This is very important to remember. Hit-and-run driving is never tolerated.

4. Obtain information from the all other drivers and witnesses involved in the car accident.
Name: Address: City: Home Number: Mobile Number: Work Number: Email: Insurance Company: Policy Number: Coverage Limits (liability):

5. Obtain police officers information.
Name: Badge: Number: City:

6. Write down the car accident information.
Date: Time: Car Description: Make: Model: Year: Color: State: Other Car’s License Plate Number:

7. Take pictures of everything involved in the car accident, as long as it can be done safely.
These pictures should include each car driver, each automobile in the car accident showing any property damage, skid marks, any other damage to property, as well as the location of the automobile accident. The more pictures the better. When in doubt, take pictures. It is a good idea to keep a disposable camera in your glove compartment or trunk. If there are no other cameras available, then you should use a cell phone camera. Pictures may help your automobile insurance company determine how much you should be paid for your injuries.

8. Schedule an appointment with your doctor.
Sometimes there are injuries right after an accident takes place, but many people who are injured do not realize it right after an accident. Therefore, it is always wise to see your doctor to make sure that you are ok.

9. Before speaking to the insurance company, make sure to consult an experienced auto accident attorney.
Many times the insurance companies will try to settle for less than you deserve, especially when injuries are involved. It is a great idea to find out all of your options before agreeing to anything.

10. Create an auto accident diagram.
A visual aid will help you describe your car accident.

Be Prepared:

Always keep your vehicle stocked with Emergency Supplies

  • Bottled water
  • First aid kit
  • Flashlight
  • Blanket
  • Dried/non-perishable food
